What`s best way to download music from the internet?
any suggestions?
Type "peer to peer" in any search engine and go from there :-)
RE: music from the internet
I use Audiogalaxy......... www.audiogalaxy.com
I use WinMx and Kazaa
You USE Audiogalaxy !! ?? Not recently surely , it`s been dead in the water for the last couple of weeks (unless you know something I don`t).
Imesh , Kaaza and Qtrax are a few names to throw into the mix - not saying how good or bad any of them are , except that none are as good as AudioG was (groan) and they will probably all be neutered in by the RIAA in the next six months or so anyway (double groan).
When I download music from the Internet... Can I then copy it onto CD and play in CD player or will I require something else?? I`m looking for the cheapest way possible - as I only need it for one piece of music.
I can only play the music when I`m online.. The music I`m after - I think... has the extension RAV ?? if this helps.
You download it using the software mentioned in .mp3 format. If you want to play it in a CD format, you need some software that can convert .mp3s to .wav files (again, use a search engine and type in "mp3 to wav" or similar)
There aren`t any music files (as far as I know) that have the extension .rav : maybe you`re thinking of .ra, which is streaming Real Audio : that`s not so easy to convert to a CD format, I`m afraid...
I don`t suppose the files are `WAV` a simple mistake if you were listning to some one explaining...rav....wav. Anyhow if it is MP3 all you need to do to make a CD is put the tracks into `Nero` or similar burning software & it will do it automatically.
If it is Real Audio there are ways and means of converting, as this guide at my Area 450 shows :

It was RA and not RAV... I`ll try the web page you recommended.
Thanks Clayts and everyone....
