Traders trading

Having a quick look at the trading forum, I was surprised to see so many obvious trades/sales and auction links from dealers.
Something, imho not quite in the spirit of said forum.
Looking back this would appear to be your own philosophy.

What do others think ?

I`m inclined to agree with you,too many traders spoiling the fun for the rest of us.My wife and I used to go to car boot sales on a regular basis, but this has also been spoilt by to many traders/dealers turning up and ruining it for everyone else.I also noticed somewhere, someone has even linked what they are trading to eBay.To me this isnt on,its either Trading Forum or eBay,not both.

Errr. One of the key elements of the trading forum is that it`s DESIGNED to link to Ebay auctions.

I think there are very few actual traders. Just because someone is selling a lot of discs, doesn`t make them a trader.

I agree, Dan, I can`t see anything in there that`s OTT.

I`ve been a more than a daily visitor for many many months but I have posted very little until a change of health has given me plenty of time to contribute :-(
Although not my favourite or most frequently visited forum, nevertheless imho, anything which has 10 listings on one page in CAPITAL LETTERS from the same person looks wrong.:-)
Perhaps more importantly, new visitors would form the wrong opinion of the type of forum it is.
If nothing else this debate perhaps is an opportunity to answer what I & others have been thinking, and encourage a healthier level of posting.

I reckon the forum should be axed, if people want to buy something from Ebay then it`s easier just to go and look for it. I`d never look at that forum anyway, why are you giving people free advertisement?

Yes, exactly,!
My definition of classifieds would be " arranged or organized according to class or category" in other words a commercial operation.
My comments where in relation to the trading forum at DVD Reviewer and my opinion was and is, that it is letting down an otherwise superb site..:-)

P.S. I did look up classifieds in the dictionary..:-))
