Page 1 of Gangs of New York = Best Film I have seen in ages.

Loved every minute of this movie.

Well thats not entirely true, as at times it sickened me.
and im not talking about the blood and guts just the way scum acted and let things happen in 1860`s New York.

LDC is pretty good in the movie but Daniel Day Lewis is marvelous as Bill the butcher Cutting.

If he doesnt get the oscar he should chop the academies Heads off:)

cracking movie which weighs in at 2hours and 40 mins

To be honest I thought it was only ok. There are lots of good bits, but too many cliche`s to make it truly great. And I didn`t like the end.

I agree good film, good acting not great.

as usual the baddie is played by an english actor- typical- and they want us to help them in the war against Iraq? Why should we if this is the thanks we get!

A researcher is conducting a survey into sheep shagging. First of all he visits an English farmer.

"So,English farmer, how do you shag your sheep?"

"Well,I take the hind legs of the sheep and put them down my wellie boot and take the front legs of the sheep and put them over a wall."

"That`s very interesting,"replies the researcher and he leaves the English farmer.Then he meets an Scottish farmer.

"So, Scottish farmer,how do you shag your sheep?"

"That`s very interesting,"replies the researcher,"That`s how they do it in England too."And he leaves the Scottish farmer.

Then he meets a farmer from Wales.

"So, Welsh farmer boyo ,how do you shag your sheep?"

"Well,I take the hind legs of the sheep and put them down my wellie boot and I take the front legs of the sheep and put them over my shoulders."

"Over your shoulders?"replies the researcher,"Don`t you put them over a wall like everyone else?"

"What?"says the farmer,"and miss out on all the kissing?"

I thought this film did not arrive in the cinemas until next week - are you all in the film industry or what?
