What do you recommend- Sony T610 or Nokia 7250i?

I know the Sony`s supposed to be a good phone but I think you can`t go wrong with a Nokia. I`ve just ordered the 7250i and am getting it on Friday.

Why would that be the best bet? Just because you`ve got one?
Let`s say he wants a phone with a colour screen that will last about 300 hours standby. Why would the 3650 be `best`? Lets say he doesn`t need to be able to play films. Let`s say he wants a decent fairly small phone. Lets say he just wants to choose between a T610 and a Nokia 7250i. Oh he does..

I had exactly the same dilemma as you, narrowed the choice down to 7250i and a T610.

My thoughts were:

[list] [*] T610 technically better screen, but 7250i screen looked better for some reason.
[*] T610 much nice looking phone, 7250i not too bad but still a bit plasticky.
[*] 7250i good memory management, heard about T610 with memory leaks and such like.
[*] T610 has Bluetooth, not really relevent, wouldn`t use it. For PC connectivity both can use cables that are cheap enough from eBay.
[*] 7250i is a Nokia which I am used to already.[/list]

In the end I went for the Nokia and can`t say I`m unhappy with it. There is a bug where changing the wallpaper through a certain menu will reset the phone on a few occasions, apart from that there is nothing really wrong with it. I love the radio, it comes in very handy when I need something to listen to wandering about.

I don`t honestly think you would be overly disappointed with either, it comes purely down to personal taste in the end.

Don`t let being a nokia user put you off the t610. I am the worlds biggest nokia fan, and have tried about 6 non-nokia phones all of which i have hated. The T610 was my last go and i have to say it is fantastic. I would go for the T610 over the 7250i anyday.

Both phones were free with Vodafone 100 anytime contract a few days ago, but the site is being updated so don`t know if offer still stands.

Sorry, SJ, just offering my opinion - it`s not because I have it I am recommending it, there are just so many advantages to it. But, if he only wants an answer between those 2, having extensively tested both, I`d probably go for the T610, although if he prefers Nokia then go for the 7250i. However, the latter`s camera is very poor, the screen isn`t great and it is too `plasticky`.

T610 is free here and 7250i £25 one off payment

Thank you all for your views. I am a nokia fan, but I think that the screen on 7250i is a bit too small.
My criteria is:
Camera phone,
Triband,
Small- compact,
Able to get twin sim card adapter,
Able to unlock if need be.
whch narrowed it down to Sony T610 or Nokia 7250i.both free on Vodafone online on anytime 100 @ £15.00 per month sounds cheap as chips to me.
