Not allowed to take a video camera to your childs Nativity? Honestly it just seems to be getting silly.

Video cameras were also banned at ours due to copyright reasons.

You couldn`t make it up. :/

Might as well not bother having kids, folks - it seems that if the paedophiles don`t get them, the copyright lawyers will.

Errmmm, I videoed every last second of our nativity play, and sports day too, no problems, no complaints. Guess we`re just much more sensible up here? ;)

At my cousin`s play last year, the parents and visitors were reminded that if you used video cameras you were only allowed to film your own child and nobody elses. Bloody great.

I give it 10 years before children are banned completely.

If the threat of paedophiles wasn`t serious enough, our kids now have to worry about these pedophiles, whatever they may be. :p

I`m not sure whether political correctness has anything to do with this, surely it is just shear stupidity combined with a snowballing level of irrational fear that every man could be a paedophile?

It isn`t even as if this is a new worry for parents, I`m over 30 and when I was a kid we were all taught not to get into cars and go and see some puppies.

This subject creates a very worrying side effect on joe public.

For example a small boy was crying alone in our local mall recently and no-one including myself went foward to ask if he was lost, in case they would be accused of anything.

Eventually someone must have alerted security. It is sad days when you have to think before you act.
