Page 1 of DVD`s from play247.com - VAT or not?

I have just ordered a couple of DVD`s from play 247.com, I know thier shipping charges are inclusive but does anyone know if VAT is payable on titles shipped to the UK?

The price u see is the price u pay :-)
ive ordered several dvd`s both R1 and R2 and i`ve never been charged extra!

I ordered on a monday and they arrive Wednesday!

I tried dv-depot in canada and although they were about £1.50 cheaper (after currency conversion ) they took ten days.

Play are based in Jersey, so the discs are exVAT and have to go through customs, but are always £17.99 or less they avoid tax/VAT

Don`t know how they are going to get the >£18 box sets through customs untaxed.

play 247 are great - i ordered fight club R1 on a wednesday evening, and it was sitting on my office desk first thing friday. in my opinion, their prices and service can`t be matched.

I can also heartily recommend play247, and buy the vast majority of my DVDs from them. If a disc is in stock, it has never taken longer than 3 days to arrive, and if it`s a pre-order, it will usually arrive on or before the official day of release. Their prices also tend to be the best in the majority of cases (e.g. the 2 disc Toy Story/Toy Story 2 box set for £17.99).
