Sometimes the simplest things don`t actually seem that simple!

Neillboy, it works like this.
The other person gives the PO his money.
They give him a postal order and he sends it to you.
You give it to the PO and they give you his money.

It must be over 5 years since I sent or received a PO. I don`t like sending them as it costs the sender money to by one from the PO.

I`m struggling to thing why anyone would use a postal order nowadays...

They don`t have a bank account and/or credit card?
They`re a pensioner?

I actually bought one yesterday, to get the the Dalek poster offer in Radio Times for my youngest son.

The chequebook I keep in Kent was devoid of cheques (wrote the last one the day I moved into the flat 10-Jan-04), they didn`t specify PO were acceptable or not in the offer. :/



I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

If it is crossed ie: two lines across it like this // - you can only cash it at a bank.
