What was the last book you read?
I read Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas on Monday and was curious as to what books others read, if any.

The Da Vinci Code. First book I`ve read in ages. Due to all the hype and fact my other half had read it. Took the major step of reading the first few lines and it was gripping stuff.
The missus had nightmare the other day after we watched one of those History Channel programmes re the Da Vinci Code. She was being chased by monks ! Nearly kicked me out of bed :(

Don`t know how, but got hold of a weird fantasy tale book called "Pigs can`t fly, but Dragons can". Probably first tiem in ages I`ve read a book strat nto finish without putting it down and then going back to it months later.

Martin Amis - Money. (4th time)
I still laugh out loud at some bits of it, even though I know when the gags are coming.

memoir of an Irish woman who finally left her husband of 45 years when she finds she has cancer-shocking and sad. She is now enjoying her life having written down all her memories and washed all the bitterness out of it.
