Have you thought about caravan parks? "Haven" have some good places we`ve used in the past when we couldn`t get in to Centra Parcs. They have swimming pools, bars, kids play areas (indoor and out) shows & entertainment for kids & adults. It depends also where your looking and when (can be cold in wrong season even with fires/Central heating in the higher spec caravans). We tried booking Center Parcs for Easter - fully booked (at that was in December).

Sometimes you`ll get private rentals in the same park at third of price (via google searches) and you just pay for your entertainment passes on top (or if you`re lucy they might be included). Haven Holidays

We`ve been to Rockley Park - Bournemouth - kids loved fishing for crabs (and throwing them back in :) ) places to see in the area too, has easy walking access to beach. Also been to Devon Cliffs. But very steep to get down to beach and much bigger site.

Good Luck.

We have also been to Rockley Park (Isn`t it near Poole? ) and my kids keep asking to go back there because of the brilliant crab fishing. I have to admit it was very good fun :) One of the more memorable caravan holidays.

Crabbing is also great at Dartmouth Harbour & a little village nearby called Stoke Gabriel (both south Devon).

I know it`s off topic - just thought I`d share it with you.

Back to the point - Oasis resorts are similar to Centre Parcs, although I think pricewise they`re similar.

Cheers

I don`t think you`ll find anything on the same scale in the UK (Oasis are owned by Centre Parks).

If its with the kids and its the activities you would be going for, try looking at PGL. (www.pgl.co.uk) They are activity based holidays. They work out at around £150 each per person for 4 nights or bout half that for just the weekend.

That includes everything though, all your food and activities and gives the parents the opportunity to leave the kids with the reps sometimes and get some peace. We have been to centre parks in Sherwood and in Kempervenen in Holland but I think all of us probably preferred PGL overall. Im 20 and and I went to the PGL near Paris with my parents and my 19 and 11 year old sisters but there was kids as young as 4 and parents upto their 60s and everyone there seemed to really enjoy it too, even if they didnt want to do the activities liek zipwiring through the woods and stuff.

Anyways, Ive only been to the Paris one but the others seem to be really similar but with more activites. There are 8 in the UK but families can only go in school holidays i think because they do school trips in term time.
