We just had a wasp buzzing around the office. Is this the first sighting of the little bastards this year? why so damn early? >:(
RE: ARRGH! First wasp of the year?
Thank for the heads up, I shall pass this on to High Command of the WEA. They have been telling us it has been a really cold winter. Really? The local Squirals have either got really hard or it has not been that bad. They are still out and about every day. The good thing on this is that they have been able to let me know the Wasps are working on something big for the summer.
All the best,
Dr 42%er.
Up the WEA.
It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....
As I posted in an earlier thread we had a Mosquito (Little Fly)

Well, Commander 42%er, the WEA Devon exercise has been given the go-ahead again this year, and so I`ll be limbering up with some pre-kill practise. Clotted cream (according to the WEA Freedom Fighter Handbook) may be turned into a handy explosive under the right conditions...apparently.

RE: ARRGH! First wasp of the year?
funnily enough (or not), we had our first wasp in the very early
hours of christmas morning (between 2 and 3am). me and the
missus were woken by our hysterical daughter complaining that
something was buzzing around her room.
lo and behold, she wasn`t dreaming, there was this huge fat wasp
flying straight towards me...in a panic, i shut myself in my sons room
to stop the bugger going in there. unfortunately, the wasp had beat me
in there and had landed on my back :o
luckily, the striped barsteward was very docile and didn`t sting me, so
i brushed him off and battered him/her with a naked action man :D
btw, we also had our first ant of the year in the kitchen last night....didn`t
last long, one of our cats ate it!
Ste.
........is that gasoline i smell?

The best way to do this is to let it forment in my belly. I won`t wish you luck on your Devon exersise as you do not need it as you have proved over the past summers. Even with bad luck the foe were no match for your string sectioned attack.

The queen`s start emerging soon given some warm weather. The little beggers fly off to start a new nest somewhere. They`re bigger than the workers that emerge later in the season. They can sting too.
All rights reserved. All wrongs reversed.
RE: ARRGH! First wasp of the year?
Lets hope for a sharp frost to kill the little buggers off! On the bright side, I assume every kill now means one less nest? :D
