Is it possible to buy a car door?

gavinglasgow (Competent) posted this on Friday, 23rd February 2007, 23:45

I know I`m going to sound incredibly thick but I would like to know if anyone can advise me about the possibility of buying a new car door.

I have a loverlie shiny blue `99 Corsa Breeze Car which I bought a few years ago (its my first car) and so far, I`ve had no major problems with it. In fact, I`d go as far as to say that it really does run like a dream (or a very fast taboggan as my ellitist colleagues would state)

Unfortunately, there appears to be a thick 2-3" line of rust all the way along the bottom of the driver`s side door which really annoys me and I`d love to get this sorted.

Can anyone advise me?

Cheers

You may be able to get one from a srap yard. If a car has been written off etc. This should be very cheap. You will need to (I THINK) take it off yourself. So make sure you know what you are doing or get someone who does and get the right tools.

That way you wont end up with 2 broken doors :)
