Page 1 of Need title of a Really obscure oooold bbc educational series...

It was one of those old series you used to watch during school time. i remember going down to the TV room during primary school lessons to watch things like Watch & Read (with `wordsworth`, that weird orange floating thing covered in letters - freaky).

Anyway, I digress. I seem to remember there were several programmes that were shown in about 10 minute section. i remember Dark Tower, well, I remember the HUGE white glowing knight that used to haunt some castle ruins - don`t ask me the plot. There was one set in the Hastings caves, and as we were local we sent down to visit the `set`.

But the series I`m interested in was called `The child from tomorrow` or something like that. It was about an alien child, crashed on earth or something. I remember he was basically cheesy sci-fi. Blue skin, silver clothes and hair, and he spoke backwards.

Can anyone else furnish me (and my sister, who brought it up) with any more information on this one.

Don`t fail me, sturdy ones...

Not heard of that but your post reminded me of the white clock counting down and a programme called `Starting Out`. A quick search on youtube and Voila:

They were short stories within that program.

the lad wrote backwards and the kids thought it was code, then they worked out if you used a mirror you could read it. it was quite creepy. A bit like tales of the unexpected for kids.
