Page 1 of What do you think is better - Futurama or the Simpsons ?

I would have to say that Futurama is alot better than the Simpsons. The jokes are witter, generally funnier, and the show is alot more grown-up than the simpsons. Because of the setting, the show is full of intresting characters and bizzare situations that work well in the futuristic enviroment. This the main problem with the NEW episodes of the simpsons. The show has become increasingly surreal, and the characters are so dumb now (mainly homer) that there just not funny anymore.
Dont get me wrong, the Simpson used to be un-beatable, but its simply lost it now. Futurama is the way forward.

I couldn`t get into Futurama so I prefer Simpsons. Homer is THE MAN!!!

After watching Futurama earlier, for the first time quite a while, I`d have to say Futurama. Way funnier.

I think Futurama definately has more adult appeal to it. I enjoy Family Guy too, I just bought the season one boxed set to that.

I like both for different reasons and both are equally appealing.

I like the fresh and colourful look to Futurama together with its more adult oriented wit. Bender is hilarious!

I like The Simpsons because I love the inane humour and downright silliness of it all, you can`t beat the likes of Homer, Bart and Mr Burns et al.

Whilst in recent years I think the Simpsons has fallen off its pedestal, I still feel that it`s superior to Futurama. The middle years of the Simpsons are the best, although both shows are obviously first class, and the only things worth watching telly for. What has surprised me here is people calling the Simpsons childish. Did you miss all the adult oriented satire, the homages to famous films, the numerous Kubrick tributes?
Fav episode - the halloween one, originally screened on Sky 1 in US election year (Clinton vs .... you know Mumbly Joe, the old Guy...... BOB DOLE!), and has space aliens Kang and Kodos taking over the bodies of said candidates. Classic, and very grown-up.
