Page 1 of Fancy looking at old web sites?
General Forum
Very, very strange! I can see my old site that`s been closed for ages!
Look at what Yahoo was like in October 1996 (around the time I got connected to internet) http://web1.archive.org/web/19961017235908/http://www2.yahoo.com/ (you`ll need to copy + paste whole URL)
or how about going back to see how much PCs cost in `99

Wow so cool - they`ve even archived the very early Area 450 there (I won`t tell you the totally non-obvious URL - looks shocking now !)

It`s amazing to see how much things have changed over the last 7 years or so.
To be honest, after wading through various Flash-laden, style-over-substance monstrosities, I sometimes get nostalgic for the good old days of web design. You don`t need a load of fancy graphics to get your message across - look at Teletext for example.

brilliant!..archived porn
I agree Mike G, although it doesn`t use Flash I feel the Richer Sounds website is far too complex and hard to navigate now. Take a look at what it used to look like.
RE: Fancy looking at old web sites?
i agree with you on the newest richersound site, the navigation layout etc is appauling the whole site should be totally redesigned imo.
The Richer Sounds web-site is cack! It so S...L...O...W as well.
not to mention the ease of which someone was able to retrieve their mailing list
