Page 1 of LG 3200E Hacking Troubles

Hi, a m8 of mine has a LG 3200E and wanted me to hack it so she can borrow my R1 discs, but the hack doesn`t work on her player is there any info i need to know.

If it`s old firmware then it can`t be hacked i.e. 1.0

If it`s still under warrenty, buy a film that`s has problems like Toy Story box set 3rd bonus disk and then contact LG, they should replace the player FOC and then have the latest firmware to hack it. I know it`s a lot of hassle but there is no other option i.e. you can`t down load firmware like Scan owners.

Hi m8,
i bought the player second hand so no warrenty, but if i do buy toy story boxset and ring them up (or not buy it and tell them i have done, hehe) will i still be able to have them upgrade the firmware?

Chris, if it`s not under warrenty then I don`t think they will touch it. They only do swop outs and do not supply firmware on its own.

The only other option is get the player chipped, I think it`s about 50 notes to do. www.dvdchips.co.uk

Have you tried the other method of hacking?
My 3200E has version 1.2 firmware, I also tried the
"Power ON, NO DISK, PAUSE, 314159, Region CODE, Pause, Power OFF" trick, it didn`t work on my machine. I scoured the net and found
another method, same as above but press STOP before you press PAUSE. It works on mine.
