The difference is that he`s not pimping his site like you are. He`s simply including it in his sig. If people want to check it out they can and only then will they find out what`s there. You`re going around saying "I`ve got a site!!! Everyone come buy from me and make me money!!!" You`re using this forum for advertising and not for the discussion of DVD`s etc. How about admitting that it`s also your site in the post rather than what seems like a recomendation from a satisfied customer or similar?
RE: PLAYSTATION 2 MULTI-REGION CHIP
Gaz, I`m sure the administrators of the site would welcome the business of a proper advertisor. An alternative is to do as Steve does and reply to every question about unhackable players with a brief response and his website in his signature. Another alternative would be to invite comments about your business on the retailer reviews forum. If you have a few happy customers they can let it be known!
Good luck

RE: PLAYSTATION 2 MULTI-REGION CHIP
The owners of this forum are very strict on this .... I am not allowed to say anything like :
"we sell a chip for that player"
I only make posts that are informative or simply state that a player has to be chipped , it does however seem to be acceptable to sign off with your url
I cant stop others from recommending me though :)

Sticking to the rules can be frustrating though when you are unable to help someone because of it .... see this thread to see what I mean ..... would be great if someone would tell this guy where he can either buy a chip or get his player chipped ....

Just gave the guy 3 web sites where he can get his JVC chipped. Not had time to read the rules but none of these site are connected to me in any way so I guess this is not an infringement.
Back to the point, this guy Gaz has got the cheek of the devil. I know for a fact that the PS2 chip he is selling was ripped off from the original Swedish designer (he even had to employ a Russian to do this). Unfortunately for all (except the original designer) this was only a prototype and has many minor problems. It will not play all discs, it is likely to crash after prolonged operation and only works on the current versions. I look forward to the next firmware release, that will sort the men from the boys.
Okay, I`ve issued the necessary e-mail to Gary.
We`ll consider the issue of his misdemeanour closed, and indeed this thread as it isn`t really Hack-related.
Spock - if you`d like to discuss this matter further, you may want to seek out the Retailer Review Forum.
As they say in the trade...."Move along now people, there`s nothing to see here"
