Upgrading your Firmware. Scan SC-2000 Player

Before upgrading your SC-2000 firmware I suggest you follow the these instructions.

1) From the Standby Mode (Only the RED LED is illuminated) unplug your player from the electrical socket.

2) Wait 20 seconds

3) Insert the power plug back into the electrical socket

4) Install your new firmware according to the relevant instructions.

Note: After changing any of the player’s menu settings, and you find the sound disappears, repeat steps 1 to 3. (Also check that all your leads are connected correctly while the player is disconnected from the electrical supply.)

I am trying to upgrade the firmware but am having trouble creating the cdr.
I have written about 4 disks now and all that happens is that the disk is read "loaded" by the player then ejected approx 5 seconds later with nothing changed.
Any suggestions ?
thanks
Tony

Did you record it as CDROM-XA Mode 1 with the firmware rom in the route directory ?

Does your TV screen go blue and display TVD000.rom etc...?

Have you checked the version of firmware which you currently have installed on your machine ? This may already be V192 which is the version you might be trying to install ?

When did you purchase your machine. ?

Anyone got a copy of the latest firmware upgrade?

I`ve emailed Nelley, but I guess he`s a bit busy at the moment!

If you could copy to me on evets[at]ku.oc.nomed.tbmc I`d be very grateful.

Ta.

Would it not just make more sense to have a website on scan where they posted all the revisions of the Scan SC-2000 firmware instead of messing about with emails and the like.

This website could also include instructions of how to make the firmware CD - comeon guys this would take someone 10 mins to do.
