Hardware Forum
I am looking to replace my old ITV digi box (Pioneer) with something that actually responds to the remote control!
I would like it to have a digital audio out. Also a SVHS out would be nice but not vital.
The Pace twin view is obviously the top of my list - but if I cannot get the funds together fo that can anyone reccomend another around the £100 mark.
get Sky+
I am actually looking for a freeview box - sky`s subscription based package does not interest me.
There`s been a couple of threads recently on this, inc one that I can`t find that had a link to a summary review of several boxes - IIRC the Thompson came out pretty well, but the Nokia top (though it`s more pricey).
I`m considering going for this too, and for me, the key things are:
Access to the interactive content
Anamorphic widescreen
2 scarts - I assume if I go via the VCR I can then record the digital broadcasts....
Presumeably we`re all cursed with yet another remote to be able to change channel....
the thomson rules, i have one....its amazing...only £72 in argos until tomorrow too
