Scart image shift to the left?
Anyone else noticed that when conected via a scart lead the image on the TV appears to be shifted to the left slighty, and I think I`m missing a small part of the left side ?
(That`s left side of the picture - not my brain !)
Both DVD & Video appear to have this.
The TV is a Sony of about 5 years old
Any fixes - is it a dodgy scart lead ?
RE: Scart image shift to the left?
I had the same problem on my Hitachi if I selected RGB mode - I had to get into the secret service menu where there was a separate option to shift the RGB picture over a bit to match the non-scart picture.
you could try it with your Sony - but be VERY careful in service mode as you can completely screw your telly.
RE: Scart image shift to the left?
But it affects both DVD & Video..I very much doubt his VCR is capable of producing an RGB output. But a VERY common problem when using RGB as you say!
RE: Scart image shift to the left?
ah well - perhaps it depends on the telly - if you can find out the service code maybe you can find a setting that does the trick for all scart.
Good luck!
RE: Scart image shift to the left?
Londonbabe, which Hitachi telly have you got ?
RE: Scart image shift to the left?
I`ve got a Hitachi C24W1TN TV and experience the same 1" shift to the right when using RGB. Any chance of letting me into your secret menu thingy secret.
Thanx
