Yes, you can get Ritek printable DVD+Rs, I got some the other day, only because they were cheap :D

Although printable discs are very handy,I find that if a player is going to have trouble playing recordable dvd`s,then the printable ones don`t help.Of recent players, the Matsui 225 will not play printable ones, but it has no trouble with standard discs. Both types were Verbatim

Intersting point!
I usually find the reverse, and much more so of CDR as I rarely have problems with DVDRs these days (except one Samsung inbuilt telly thing I gave to me sister....)
Think it`s something to do with the laser reflectivity being sent back to the laser instead of going straight through the disc (anyone unsure what I mean here, hold a blank up to a lightbulb and look through it ;) )
What`s everyone elses`s experiences? EXCLUDE RAM DISCS as I aint had a Ram to Ram machine failure yet, but it`s a totally different disc structure.

Just adding my twopenny`s worth here, but I`ve had no problems with either a plus R or minus R printable. Both discs were printed with a fairly densely coloured jpg image across the whole surface. Both discs also play without problems on both a Panny and Philips DVDR. Two discs is hardly a scientific sample I know, but just thought I`d mention my limited experience with printable discs. BTW, I did record before I printed, if that makes any difference.

I have tried hundreds of discs on dozens of players.Although there were few problems overall,I found that players that DID have trouble with printable ones, including an old Panasonic player, played non printable ones without any problems.I raise the point as the Matsui 225 that I found recently, was only just added to this sites hack forum.
