Liteon 5025 (delete timer recording)

Does anyone know how to delete a timed recording once it has passed on the
Liteon 5025. I use to have the liteon 5026 and all i had to do was press the reset button (on screen) on the timer page.

Liteon 5026. Help plz

I have the liteon 5026 (which the quality is brill). The problem i am having is. Sometimes the liteon will ignore the weekly timer i have set up. Sometimes it will start, i get the time 00:00 but it sticks on this and will not record. Will an update cure this.

Which leads me onto the next question. I have the firmware LNJDE197.DA0 which i wrote on to a cd-rw but nothing happens when i put it in to the player.

Any help plz.

To record from from TV and Freeveiw. Ariel to the Freeveiw IN. OUT to DVD recorder to the IN. Then OUT to the TV. Easyiest way to get them into your bedroom is to buy an AV sender.They are about £40. Hope this helps

Philips 610 + BT1 25

I put the BT1 25 update on yesterday (26 Jan) at 3:30pm. So far so good. The 22 update seemed to cure the 30 minute clock jump. And, hopefully, the 25 has cured the AV switching. The TV has been on for 14 hours and has not switched to AV once. Fingers crossed :-)

Philips 610 (Lower case to Upper Case)

Somehow, when editing titles, i have managed to change the Letters from Upper case to Lower case. Any ideas how to get back to upper case again. The manul is next to usless in telling you how to. Thanks in advance

Which macrovision lead?

I have heard about theses macrovision leads for backing up your (my) DVDS. My mate bought one called "Macrovision Disabler". It is a box which you plug a scaft into and out of. But every 15 mins if flashes black & white for a second. Does the one from SONEL do this or is it 100% ok. Many thanks. Sam

I phone philips today about the clock and the recorder turning itself off and on. They are going to send me a disk to put into the recorder. When i asked if it was the October update (i have already installed it :-( ) the said no, it was a fix for the trouble i am haveing. Watch this space

philips Firmware updates (go back to an early firmware)

The firmware update is causing problems on my Philips 610 (changing to av for a second). I still have the first firmware update. Can i go back to this if i put the cd with the old firmware update on it. Thx

Philips 610 & the new update

Has anyone done the latest update from the philips site (13/oct). The problem i am having now, after the update, is the machine keep going to the AV channel then back again. It only does it for a second but its anoying. I can do it 10 times in a few minutes or once in an hour. There is no patten to it. Anyone had similar problems and cured it. I did take the scart lead out of the TV and it stopped switching. But to me that is not an option. Thx in advance. Sam

Do you think there will ever be a code to disable macrovision on this machine, before i go out and buy a lead to get round it. Thx in advance

Philips DVDR610 Fan Cure

I was told yesterday by philips that if you use the philips 610 in ECO mode the fan will not turn it-self off and on at irregular times. Tried it with mine and it worked. The only draw back is, there is no display clock in standby. So what i say :-)

Disks formated in home DVD recorder

I have the Philips 610. I must admit, i have no problems with it (a firmware upgrade is a must). I don`t know if this applies to all DVD recorders. I have tried to Format a DVD +RW on my PC DVD Recorder that was formated in the Philips 610. But it come up with errors and does not arase the disk. I have tried Nero & Adaptec. Is this a problem

Which format do you think will become the standard DVD+ or DVD- . I supose DVD Ram is out as i don`t think it will last. I know you can by pritable DVD -`s. Can you buy printable DVD+`s ? Thanks in advance

One final question abot the panasonic DVD recorder

Thanks to all for answers my other queries. I have just one more. If i record a film i only want to watch once. I suppose i would record it on a DVD Ram disk. But if someone wanted to borrow it to play on a standalone DVD (not a recorder). How would i get round this, without wasting a DVD-r. So my question is can i record to any other type of DVD RW`s except RAM. Thanks again peps

Any Good words about the PHILLIPS 70

Does anyone have a good word about the Phillips 70. I am leaning towards this machine over the Panasonic. A Far as i can see, the panasonic will not do DVD -RW.

Deleting earlier files on a Home DVD Please read

I have just bought the Goodmans 300 DVD Recorder. It is fine except. If for example you have recorded four 1 hour programs. If you wanted to keep the last one and record over an earlier one. This DVD player won`t do it. It deletes everything after were you start it. Hope you got the jist of it.
My question is, 1..Am i misssing someting in the instructions. 2..Is there a player that will do it (tape over an earlier program while keeping what was on at the end. PHEW

i have see 3 disks made in 3 diferent dvd recorders and they were VOB files. The best program for altering them was DVD LABS

VHS Tapes onto DVD+rs

Is there a way to record from a VHS tape onto a Standalone DVD (not a PC one). That has copywrite on it. In richersounds, they said having macrodisable would make no diference. If so, is there a site that shows how to make a device that sits betweem the VHS and DVD recorder. Thanks in advance

I was told in Richersounds today that you cannot print (using the new printers) onto DVD+Rs. I find it hard to believe. Could one of you knowledgeable pepole let me know if you can or cannot. Thanks in advance. sam

PC DVD Player. How to make Multi-Region

I have a DVD Player in my computer which will not play region 2 disk anymore because it has been changed 10 times. Is there anyway around this. I don`t know what make the DVD player is. All it says is DVD1.0 (in system Information) I am using windows XP. Any help Please. Thanks. Sam

Stand alone DVD Player with Menus & chapters

Can anyone tell me if all stand alone DVD Players do Menus with thumbnails. I asume they all do. My Question is, is there a player that will do Chapters with thumbnails. I know the Philips DVDR70 Does NOT. Does anyone know if the Goodmans GDVD300R or the Panasonic DMRE55 can make chapters with thumbnails. Thanks to all. Sam

Remote control with button you can change

I am looking for a remote control that you can actualy give the buttons a name. I have a DVD remote with "menu & top menu". If i assign another button to top menu then i have to tell everyone in the house and this is just one example.
The solution would be a remote that i can call the buttons what i like. Can we start cheap and work up please :) . Thax in advance. Sam
