RE: can you recommend a RELIABLE dvd recorder
My Panasonic E50 must be approaching 3 years old.
My Panasonic E55 is around 2 years old.
Not one bit of trouble with either of them.
Says it all really. 8)

RE: can you recommend a RELIABLE dvd recorder
The Panasonic DMR ES10 costs £200 RRP and you can get it for £150 if you look in bargain sites like,
www.kelkoo.co.uk
www.pricerunner.co.uk
The following are reasons i recommend it;
1. Its DVD RAM compatible so you can almost limitlessly edit directly on the disc and pause live tv if something arises like somebody at the door or a call of nature.
2.LP recording with 500 lines of resolution (most DVD recorders have less than 300 lines on LP mode).
3. it come from a top brand so you will be getting top quality from it.
4. What home cinema magazine said it was the best DVD recorder with no hard disk
if you want to opt for something else, avoid Mustek and Goodmans products because their products are cheaply built and dog turd quality playback and recording.
I hope this information is helpful to you.
HAPPY SHOPPING
