Huh ?

All SCART connectors are plugs (ie male) - all SCARTs on the backs of TVs, in Macrobusters, VCRs are sockets (ie female).

Someone is pulling your proverbial.

To connect the PS2 to a Macrobuster you need a standard PS2 to SCART lead - £9.99 from http://www.keene.co.uk

Well I would be worried that the person who told you doesnt know the difference between male and female.

i had a similar problem, which was easily solved by:

Buying a female scart plug from Maplin (about £1.30ish), three phono plugs and some cable. I then made a female scart to video and stereo audio lead, about 6 inches long which connects to the front a/vs of my TV and I can plug all my scart consoles etc into it without mucking about

you could make a female to female lead in the same fashion
