Not talking great tracks here, just stuff which has a great dynamic range and really shows off how good your kit is.

the b-side to this is one of the greatest tracks ever, imho. infact any todd/martinelli production from the 80s can really show off a good bit of kit.

This piece here is, allegedly, used in its entirely by U.S. DJ Danny Tenaglia to test host soundsystems pre-gig...

Peter Gabriels So album.
The percussive bass part at the end of don`t give up really tests any systems bass responsiveness. Also the opening track Red Rain.

Tracy Chapman: Tracy Chapman. I still use this on a regular basis as a demo disc.

Any track from Queen`s A Night At The Opera in sweet DTS - Seaside Rendevouz always makes me chuckle and has a fantastic surround mix.

I often use "Happiness Is Easy" on Talk Talk`s The Colour Of Spring album.

Lots of treble detail in the percussion, and some low-end fretless bass, but overall very uncluttered and easy to pick out individual instruments.

I usually use a DTS CD, such as Sting`s Brand New Day, to really show off.

Enigma - Principles of Lust - Sadeness (I like the bass response in that - test car stereos on this basis, dont know how it would do on hi-fis)
