Access/Excel help needed

Hi all

Have been using Works 4.5 at work for goodness knows how long. Trying to drag them into using Office, but I`m having a problem.

I`m trying to create an Access Database for the mailing list. Looking at the help files it would appear that it is not possible to import an old Works Database into Access, but I should be able to import data from an Excel spreadsheet.

So I copy & paste the info from the Works Dbase into an Excel spreadsheet & then try to import the data into Access, but with no success.

I have look at the Office help stuff, which says it can be done, but I seem to be getting nowhere. Any ideas??

Export from Excel as a CSV [comma separated variables] file, use the Save As command then import same file into Access. Never used Works but the same should apply

To import from Excel into Access do File, Get External Data, Import, Change to .xls then follow the wizard.

As Skyvan says if it is in csv format then it should import no problem.
