Laptop fault - doesn`t register keystrikes... i.e. letters not appearing when typed
I have just had my laptop returned from the manufacturer who replaced the keyboard.. but the problem has now go worse.. certain keys at random times refuse to generate the characters..
If i open a blank document and jus work my way around the keyboard holding own the keys.. there appears to be a slight pause at random times... for example.. wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww pause wwwwwwwwwwwwwww pause... and it is these pauses that are stopping the characters from being generated...
Acer now say it may be a problem with the hard drive... has anyone else had this problem?..

What about if you use a external keyboard, is the fault still present?
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

The same thing happens to my fiancees Vaio. Sussed it in the end that it is the battery causing it on hers. When we plugin in the power supply and leave it switched on at the wall, all works well. Run from the battery and that starts to happen.

i`ll try an external keyboard.. it`s not the battery.. because I`m running it from the power supply 99% of the time
