Page 1 of DVD Sites to Avoid
Retailer Reviews Forum
I thought this needed to be be started. A forum where you can put down the sites that have treated you badly and the ones to AVOID!!
So to start with my first site to avoid at all costs is:
AbsolutelyDVD.com
Why? Well I ordered 2 DVD`s from them I got one a 2 weeks after ordering but the second has never arrived. After endless e-mails and telephone calls - all result in that there has been delays and the disc will be in the post tomorrow etc etc. When you place an order with them it is a secure site and you get a pop up window that your order has been placed but you never get a confirmation email that your order has been accepted and they NEVER respond to any emails. Basically I have no proof that I ever placed the order and that I have haven`t received the DVD in the first place so how can I go about getting my money back for it?
Now I got that off my chest any others you like to mention?
Baz.
Hope this is OK moderators :-)
Whoops - just spotted this thread and I`ve already started a whinge about Jungle.com elsewhere!
Sorry if I`m getting ahead of myself, but have you done the following yet (assuming you`re in the UK)?
Firstly, if you have an address for AbsolutelyDVD, you should put your complaint in writing.
Secondly, have you been to Trading Standards? If not, print off a dossier of all your e-mails/correspondence and take it to them. They`ll be able to give advice or chase for you.
Thirdly, I think you have the right to cancel a contract if you have not received the product in a reasonable time span. You can do this by e-mail, fax or letter, but not on the phone.
If you paid by Credit Card (not debit), I believe you also have additional rights and protections - go to the Trading Standards website for more.
Sorry if you`ve already done all of this - and actually, I`ve been practising as I preach with Jungle, to no avail so far...
I`ll race you to the finishing line - will it be my refund or your DVD that arrives first...!
All the best
Paul
