Page 1 of anyone used vidshop?

I ordered two adult dvd`s from vidshop and have not heard anything yet. Have you dealt with them and if so, how did it go?

I always thought they might be a bit dodgy myself so never actually ordered from them. My advice is to stick to reputable retailers that sell adult disks like future entertainment and dvd box office.

My brother ordered a video about 8 months ago - it cost £20 and it was a copy. I`d go out on a limb and say their DVD`s might go along the same lines. Best bet is www.adultdvdboxoffice.com or www.adultdvdnow.com . I`ve used both (presents you understand) and they`re pretty much on par, but box office don`t charge for shipping.

I have placed two orders with Vidshop and am not impressed. I have found it amlost impossible for them to reply to my e-mails.

I actually sent them an e-mail asking them to cancel one title on an order. They did not even ackwlodge that but did reply to say that the titles are on back order AND billed me. Correct me if I am wrong, but if the titles have not been dispatched then should be able to amend or cancel an order. They chose to ignore my request and bill me to prevent me from stopping the payment. I have not recieved the goods yet nor an e-mail to say that they have been dispatched.

I will wait until Jan 7 to see if the titles arrive before following this up.

I really would like to know who the UK distributors are, etc. etc. so I can involve trading standards if necessary. Visa can only intervene if you do not receive the goods at all.

I have a second order, which I have not heard anything on also. But I have not been billed yet.

I have placed an order with adultdvdboxoffice and they seem much better. It has took them around five days to deal with my enquiry and invoice and dispatch. I have not received the goods yet but hope they will arrive shortly.

By the way Vidshop are around £9 more on ave. than the adultdvdboxoffice. Although the latter state a title as being approx. £12.31 GB, Visa or Mastercard both add a 2.75% conversion charge. Plus with the exchange rate it works out to £17 approx. This is still approx. £9 cheaper than Vidshop for the same title. Just hope I have no problems with customs.

As long as Vidshop deliver, I will not follow it up and put it down to experience. But I will never use them again.

PLEASE TELL OF ANY UK ASSOCIATIONS THEY HAVE.

I`ve been waiting since end of November for my order - £57 down the drain methinks... last time I ordered it took a week!! No more orders from me :-(

I have used vidshop a few times but they are too unreliable, for vhs there are far better companies. I have also failed to receive dvd`s that I have ordered and also had no response from them. After reding the melon farmers page I went to fivestardvd.com and adultdvdexplorer.com who are both utterly reliable and have ups 2day (from the USA and it works!) at a price as well as normal 7day. I have also used 01esexy.com in france who deliver by signed for parcelforce in about 7 days. I was thrown by their first delivery because the case said Pokemon! The label and correct dvd was in the case. They did not know of the change in BBFC and Customs rules, but they have Rocco`s American Dream in Paris, which is still withdrawn in the US. You do need reasonable french to enter card details though.
