Disable Macro?

Is there a secret menu or anything on the Bush DVD 2009 that will allow disabling of the macro?

I have my player linked through a lot of cables and video`s for output to other TV`s through-out the house, but with the macro, obviously I can`t view them....

I do NOT want to copy from DVD`s, I just want to be able to watch them where I want - without the expense of having a DVD in every room!

Macro?

Anyone know of a `remote` hack to disable Macro on the Bush DVD 2009?

With it being Region 1 from the box, I was just wondering, ya know?

I dont know any companies, but to do the transfer, as a one off, is gonna cost you heaps.... it ain`t worth thinking about yet.

Maybe the new recordable DVD`s will be able to accept other sources of input, then maybe you can do it yourself, its just a matter of waiting for them to be released, which should be over the next few months or so.

Well, buy a DVD mag from your newsagents, there are loads of companies who specialise in this.

www.techtronics.com, I got my original LG done there, and for £60 the `chip` also removed the macrovision and made it vhs friendly!

Your quite right, this player is Region Free from the box, although some people have mentioned that certain movies from certain companies wont work. ie PAramount, Fox etc.

I have had NO problems so far with ANY disc, and yeah, you simply just stick em in and play.

Have you tried your connections at all?

I have a similar problems at times, as I have Scart, S-VHS and RGB connections from my TV coming from all sorts, ie, playstation, dvd, video etc, and at times I get the same thing.

I solved it by removing a few of the connections when not needed.

The LG can not be hacked via the remote.
You`ll have to have it chipped.

As for the Grundig, I don`t know sorry - have you tried the hack section on these pages?

Bush DVD-2009

Hey, does anyone know if there is a macrovision disabler option for this player?

I know its Region Free from the box, so I`m hoping there maybe a secret menu or remote hack for this option?

Anyone have any ideas?

I`m afraid its a new TV.....

Even though your DVD will output PAL and NTSC, as you mentioned above, your TV can`t decode the signal, hence the long picture.....

So get yourself a lovely new Widescreen TV, most (if not all) new TV`s are now PAL/NTSC ready - and digital to boot ;o)

Is the Tosh a Widescreen, and fairly recent? If not, it may not be NTSC compatible, or your DVD player may need to be set manually for 16:9 TV`s.

Also, does this happen with ALL R1`s? It could be the aspect ratio of that film that is making them all seem squished?

Time (if a fairly new PC) will include a Hitachi GDR-5000 (8x)

I have the ROM Revision if that helps, and also DVD Genie and PowerDVD with the hack, so you can do like me, and watch any region ;)

Unfortunately, your in the same boat as me, I have a BUSH DVD 2009, and I can`t play VCD`s (copied ones anyway) as the laser can`t read cd-r`s (ie. pc burned discs) as the laser is not capable of it.

The only way you`ll get to see VCD`s if you get the ORIGINAL Silver disc`s, which are mainly bought from Japan.

It is true that the code above is ONLY for modified machines from Liverpool`s Richer Sounds.

As I have the LG and it DOES NOT work.......

Anyway, I sold it now and bought a Region Free from the box BUSH DVD 2009 lol.

I`d agree with that.

My player has been playing R1`s and R2`s for weeks now, not a problem.

Just a shame it won`t play my VCD`s.

BUSH DVD 2009 is Region Code Free from the box.

This machine will not play Blue/Green VCD`s, only the original Silver ones.

Well, thats a bit weird, as they won`t give that info out... they told me its illegal.

So I`m thinking RIcher (if it is) have these players modified, and this code is to change regions on the new chip....

Well, that procedure didn`t work for me ANYWAY I tried it.

Is this hack due to the modification maybe?

I can`t gve my player back lol, as I got it on HP - so I`m in desperate need of a remote hack..

ARRGHHH!!

Looks like I`m NEVER gonna get it hacked, and I can`t afford the £60-80 for a hardware mod either :(

Hi,

Does anyone know of the REAL hack for this machine?

Also, does anyone know if there is actually 25 maximum changes, as I have been told it could be anything from 5 upto 25.

Unfortunately, this had NO effect what-so-ever on my player.

Nothing changed, no screen changes, no colour flashes, nothing.

Can I ask what is the URL of the site where you got this hack?

I have been after a hack for this player for 4 months now.

I just bought my sister, the Bush DVD-2009, and that was region hacked from the box - ie. it played R1 titles without needing a hack.

Plus, it was only £179 from Argos :)
