Best Bargain Of 2004 Awards!!

diverse (Competent) posted this on Tuesday, 9th November 2004, 10:41

Off topic a bit, but i feel that some of the contributors should get more praise for their sterling work and superb finds!

I think there should be some sort of awards ceremony for the best bargain tipper and bargain of 2004, maybe and award for the worst tip`s or the most predicatable ;)

My vote goes to Reestit Mutton for the sheer volume of quality tips! (I bagged the 7600 with £4.99 for 500 mins and 100 txts + free BT Headset which i still have not got ;(

And the Seinfeld DVD for £16.99

The best post for me has to be the Amazon box sets for 12 quid. Top post that was, although I received the info from someone at the AV Forums.

Yep, the 70% off Amazon.com boxsets bags it for me. Forgot who the poster was, but hats of to ye, mucker.

Just as good was the post about DVDCrave`s Band Of Brothers for £20

Worst bargain post?

Gamecube stuff being given away at Dixons/Currys etc.

So i took them up to the till to get them scanned...... and all three items scanned at 97p each! grabbed them all and ran! That`s the wee boy happy then. I doubt most stores will have anything

That`s not sharing a bargain. That`s gloating. ;)

No offence, Newlogin

That`s a good one for the polls.

I don`t know who the poster was, but the 50% plus a bit more off at BBCSHOP was amazing. I got all four blackadders, two series of Red Dwarf, and an Alan partridge (in some bizarre reworking of the twelve days of Christmas) for just under £50. Good work unknown fella!

My vote goes to Reestit Mutton (by the way, why Reestit Mutton?)

I am writing this on my £110 Dell with double memory and take calls on my O2 free sim card. My son uses his £15 Sagem from index, from whom I also got a leather jacket for £32.50 after using the LX discount code) Also received £20 of vouchers from M&S because they couldn`t supply a bed for £4.95 (no wonder their profits are down today)

Reestit has got me checking the forum ever day (several times) to find out what`s new.

Thanks Reestit, you get my vote! :)

Well, my monicker has often been a note of interest among the online community.

My partner hails from wild and wooly Shetland and it`s considered to be a national treasure which is used in their Tattie Soup and served to first-footers every hogmanay. Personally, it`s a little salty for my liking, but it`s an acquired taste that can grow on you.

Hey..... Not wanting to detract from Reestits sterling work here, but I believe it was me who first brought you the Nokia 7600 offer http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums/thread.asp?Forum=223&Thread=349784
