Refurbs or New (should be at that price)?.

Mine will only play region 3 in black and white and the sound is poor. Any suggestions?
I have been reading the Region Hacks threads but have had no luck yet. :/

Found these at Aylesford. £99 but the model is the original one, not the one with the i-link. That was still at the higher price. Only 3 in the store on display but may have been more

They looked new to me and no description as being anything other than new.
