Component or VGA?
I`m using the supplied Component with the Toslink connector at present but it`s proving a chore on my Pioneer 435XDE to keep swapping over leads between the DVD HTSS/Xbox/TV Media Box. I`ve also got a VGA connection and the red/white/yellow sockets as Input 4 (i think) on the front of my tv media box, more convenient but less pretty to behold.
Before I fork out another £18 do any of you gamers also use the VGA HD lead and why?
Also, is it really 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound from the red/white leads that come with the VGA lead as i always thought these red/white wires were basic stereo analogue(if that makes sense)?
Finally, if the consensus is towards the Component Lead does anyone know of a Component/Toslink Hub type piece of kit that i could user around the back of my media box to save swapping leads several times a day.

TOSlink selector hub here on eBay, so they do exist.
What is it, boy? Fire? Earthquake? Hippies?

I`ve got both, but for my TV, it`s the VGA all the way. I find the picture to be a shedload clearer (less jaggies) and it also upscales DVD playback (looks really sweet & saves me having to buy a new DVD player), which you can`t do with component.
