Scene stealers

Was flicking round the channels the other day and chanced upon the bit in There`s Something About Mary when he gives a lift to that nutter bloke. He was the best thing in it ("Step into my office, you`re f*cking fired"). So what other brief, idiosynchratic performances have stolen a scene and indeed a film?
Also worth a mention are the hillbilly that gives Steve and John a lift in Trains, Planes and Automobiles ("last baby she had came out sideways..snort") and a joint one by the taxi driver and bus driver in Quick Change.
Loads more I`m sure.

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves or as its otherwise known Twice round the camp with the Sheriff of Nottingham (said with broad American accent) Alan Rickman was definitly taking the cash and the mickey in that one.
Also notable for the redrawn map of England where it was possible to get to Nottingham from Dover in a day-obviously not travelling on Virgin trains...

Jude Law in the otherwise pants-beyond-belief AI.

Anthony Hopkins chewing the scenery without moving a muscle in Silence of the Lambs (and Red Dragon to a lesser degree, but not Hannibal; there are too many other strong performances in that).

Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding in House of 1000 Corpses

Darth Maul.

Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean, but that probably goes without saying.

Ron Perlman in most things he appears in, apart from that Stella ad (strangely enough).

Actually, the gravel voiced actor who played the captain of the Betsy in Alien Resurrection nearly snaffled the film from Sigourney and Perlman. Then he died an inexplicably stupid death (perhaps Weaver ordered it)....

...and finally - Natalie Portman`s breasts in every scene she `shared` with whatsisface-who-played-Anakin in Attack of the Clones. Come to think of it, Anakin`s stupid little pigtail emoted more than he did.

p.s. That bloke in the RHCP vid also does the hotel trashing bit with Jack Black in the Foo`s How Low Can You Go.

Johnny Depp in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. - Just wonderfully over the top.

But my winner would be......

Benicio Del Toro in The Usual Suspects

Most of the cast read for his role but didn`t want to touch it because it seemed such a nothing charector. And lo and behold up steps Benny and steals every scene he`s in. Fantastic example of how to do the best with what you`ve got. :D

I Think she underplayed her role so well
