General Forum
Time for an update on the DVD Reviewer UD Cancer Research Team!
We`ve made absolutely excellent progress, and I wanted to say a huge THANKS to all the members of the team. We have had some really productive members who have joined more recently, and it`s certainly time for some mutual backslapping !
First off, the team... I wanted to measure us against the traditional yardstick - the performance of our competitive team from the Forums - The DVD Forums Thinkers. Rather than explaining how much we are kicking @rse, I`ll let a picture do the talking:
Yep, despite their greater numbers, our members work MUCH harder and produce far more results. Where once the race was close, now we have edged into what must surely be an unassailable lead. Congratulations team !
The fight still goes on though, and it`s worth highlighting some of our regular members who have contributed so much. The top ten are:
rudgej 08/04/2001 15:263:23:56:21 2,046,195 10,377
Sean McKeown 04/30/2001 9:072:01:43:35 809,509 4,270
Paul Hodgson 05/02/2001 9:011:06:34:35 829,489 4,561
Neme515 02/05/2004 8:293:14:35:56 1,689,210 7,153
mjennings 04/09/2001 7:339:17:18:51 1,190,873 6,753
J Eric Cooper 04/09/2001 7:038:12:37:16 1,155,013 8,337
Daniel Bates 04/05/2001 6:344:14:13:47 953,720 6,153
fightthefuture 10/11/2001 6:040:13:02:10 860,862 6,401
John Willis 04/08/2001 5:341:06:17:07 871,618 12,326
reeder 05/16/2001 4:184:22:44:07 362,097 4,492
Most notable here is Neme515 - look at that joining date !!!!! They have burst onto the scene and contributed a mind-bending nearly NINE years of processing in less than a YEAR ! Thanks Neme515 - if you`d like to take a bow please do so !
Other worthy mentions are great performing recent joiners:
Thewrabbit

Alan Titherington
Si & Sade
As someone who runs a few machines, I know it`s not easy to keep these things going through reinstalls etc, and I`d like to thank all our contributors for taking the time to help. We`re making a LOT of information for the cancer researchers to examine, and let`s hope that one day we`ll see real strides taken in treating it.

You`re not leaving your computer on for long enough - you`re averaging about 20 points an hour, which is pretty good, but only for 5 hours a day. You need to leave it running overnight more often.
RE: Props to those fighting cancer
Sorry, can`t afford the electricity bill as it is. Well, at least I am contributing a little, at least (sob).
RE: Props to those fighting cancer
It all helps - 25,000 is more than most of the the other 35,000-odd DVD Reviewers have contributed. :)
What amazes me most is that we`re only ranked 238 for number of members, we`re in the 130`s for work done. Just goes to show what a hardworking bunch we are - ALL of us.

These any good? I don`t really know what the points mean.
RE: Props to those fighting cancer
lookd good to me bigfan..and anyway, as people have said, every little counts. it`s not a competition..although I`m annoyed with the 9 years of processing time some people have worked up in less than a year!! :-) :p

I don``t don`t really understand points either, but you are scoring them at an incredible rate Bigfan - out of 1.2m members, as of today you are ranked 1947th for Average Points per Hour - excellent :D (anybody else whose average is above 29.56883 can look for their ranking themself!).
