Page 1 of How do you increase the number of simultaneous downloads allowed in IE?

I`m downloading some bootlegs from various sites, but don`t want to sit and watch 2 files download in order to get the whole lot.

Is there any way I can change a setting in IE so I can set, say 10 downloads off at once, and come back in half an hour when they are hopefully all complete?

I used to have that ages ago but there were loads of Spyware problems - do these still apply?

DAP allows you to download 9 simultaneous steams at once. However, the download rate is basically your connection speed divided by the amount of downloads.

For example, I normally get an average single download speed of 52kbps. But if I have 2 downloads going, it normally boils down to 25-ish kbps each

I agree with batavia. I use Fresh Download as well, I`ve always found it a good piece of software.

I assume what you want is to be able right-click loads of files and do a `Save-as`. People don`t realise the default limit is only 2..
I was going to send you a .reg file which does it all for you but people (quite rightly) can be a bit wary of these files. Although they can be opened in notepad etc. to check.
