I need to make some serious savings. Here is my problem:
1. I use BTYahoo Broadband
(A stupid £26.99 - which I am going to cancel on first opportunity)
2. I pay £10.50 for BT Line Rental
3. I pay £12.50 to Homecall per month for Free UK Landline calls anytime
4. I need a mobile where I get 100minutes free anytime any network.
OneTel looks very attractive. Any other suggestions?
RE: Help on Telephone Savings
For the free landline calls, switch to Call 18866. All UK landline calls are free except for a 1p connection charge. You just dial a prefix before the number you want to ring.
RE: Help on Telephone Savings
Thanks for that. I was checking out various places and that site is definitely next on my list of things to do. I am currently on the Homecall plan for Unlimited calls at £12.50/month. And, while it is useful it would still be cheaper with 18866 because I don`t make 1250 calls in a month. Afterall, who does?
Cool that is one thing off the list.
Mobiles
Any ideas on cheap contract mobile phones with 100min Anytime. It is just because I know it is cheaper (and with 100min packages free!) to phone mobile phones from other mobile phones.
Broadband
512kb minimum. Unlimited (yes, I use Bittorrent). Any ideas. Cheapest around?
RE: Help on Telephone Savings
My isp charges £16.99 for unlimited 512 broadband. They`ve had a few problems lately due to switching over to a different network, but I think they are (hopefully!) getting sorted now. There are a few around with similar prices I think, mine is V21 anyway.
Unfortunately moneysaving expert web site is having a few problems due to changing to a new server.
I tried loggin on it didn`t recognise me, so asked few new password, but my personal details somehow got mixed up with someone else. So you might not be getting the full benefit of the site at moment.
Lets hope they get it sorted very soon as its a great site full of useful information.

RE: Help on Telephone Savings
If you were a business I could help big time however:
18866 are on the verge of closing, Ofcom is looking in to them as they are operating in the UK without a base here, have no support other than email and too many complaints have been raised about incorrect payments from credit cards.
Much as I hate to say it Onetel of the infamous pink pig dialler are now quite a good offering for residential users.
Also try www.uswitch.com which has the blessing of ofcom.
If it ain`t broke hit it harder

Thanks for all your help everyone.
I have decided on the following:
1. During Daytimes to 0208 and 0207
www.18866.co.uk
(1p a call!)
:)
2. During Evenings to 0208 and 0207
http://www.onetel.co.uk/index.php/leisureuktalk
FREE!
:)
3. To Mobiles
Now this is where I need your help :/
I want to get a mobile with 120 anytime minutes a month.
Anyone know of any Good Contract deals out there?
Thanks again for all your help everyone. Have a great week.
