Lecson DVD 900 Region Hack

I have hacked my Lecson and it now plays region 1 dvd`s. However i was wondering if the hack makes it completly region free?

RE: Coax connectors - worth spending extra?

Are you using a phono lead to connect the coaxial output to your processor? Phono leads cannot carry all the required information which a standard coaxial cable can which obviously means you wont be getting the full effect of DD.

You can pick up a reasonable Coax Cable for about £7 from the likes of Miller bros.

RE: Hi all, Final Fantasy TSW - Recommendations please!

I perosnnaly havent played any of the FF games, however i thought the film was excellent. My friends who are FF fanatics says the film is seperate from the games but they too thought the film was great. As far as which region to get the film from..errr, well i myself was planning on getting the Region 1 version from Play247 at a cost of £16.99. It comes as a 2 disc set with what i consider a ton of extra features.

RE: Why does my DD amp have video inputs

As i see it I think the only reason The amp has S video inputs / outputs is if you have more than one source which you would need to use the S video connection. The TV`s which have an S video connection usually only have one so if for example you had Two DVD players which you wanted to use the S Video Connection on both, you would connect these both to the Amp. If you didnt do this you would have to keep dissconnecting one plug from the TV to put the other in. Seeing as the Players are connected to the Amp and an output is going to the TV (AKA Monitor Out) whenever you switch the sound for the appropriate DVD player, the Picture also changes for that particular source.

Hope That hasnt come out too complicated!

RE: what dvds is everyone looking to buy in the next few months

Buffy Season 3 (On order from Play247)
Final Fantasy The Spirits Within

That all at the moment

RE: Play247 usually ship within 24 hours????

I think in an earlier thread it mentions that you only sign for Region 2 DVD`s. But if it hasnt arrived yet, phone them up or e mail and they usually send another one no questions. Personnaly i usually find from ordering a DVD late at night it usually arrives a couple of days later

RE: A new widescreen TV - but which one?

These colour coded jacks, They wouldnt happen to be Yellow, white and red would they?

RE: A new widescreen TV - but which one?

Composite Connection! I hope your not reffering to connecting the DVD player up via a Composite connection? The only sensible option on how to connect your DVD player up to a TV is Via an RGB capable SCART socket. Any scart cable will do and you may have to enable the RGB output on your DVD player (I hope it has the function to do this). At the very least use the S Video connection rather than composite. I hope this has been of some help.

RE: Lecson DVD 900 Problem

Thank You very much that seems to have done the trick.

RE: Online Shops

Another good website is www.Empiredirect.co.uk

Delivery can be up to 2 weeks when they dont have the product in stock but as in the case of the Yamaha DSP 800 Processor it had £100 knocked off the RRP.

Lecson DVD 900 Probelm

I have a Lecson DVD 900 Player which i have hacked to play region 1 DVD`s. For the last 9 months the player has worked fine and I have been very pleased with it. However recently whenever i play a Region 1 DVD it seems to be very jerky and in big Action scenes the sound becomes distorted. But with region 2 DVDs the player is its old self again. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this could be.

RE: 100 hz or not

From what ive seen Panasonics to seem to show very good Picture quality but as I think it was mentioned earlier there isnt much point in Buyinga 100Hz TV if you are connecting it to a digital source such as a Sky Box or DVD player. Prrosnally ive got a 32" Sony Widescreen and the picture quality of that is brilliant. It isnt 100Hz.

RE: dvdrom region info

Is there anything like this availible for the Pionneer DVD Rom116? I use Power DVD software and again i can only change this 3 times.

RE: LOOK - ANGEL ON DVD!

Ill sign the partition. Can anyone tell me why are the Buffy Seasons seemingly released in surround sound and not Dolby Digiatl 5.1?
