I have a weird taste in films (so my mates say) but......
.....where can I pick up decent versions of such films as:
Cannibal Ferox
Deep River Savages
Bloody Moon
Cannibal Holocaust
S.S. Experiment Camp
etc etc......?
The thing is, you can get them on the VIPCO label, but these are cut to hell and, as a result, make even less sense than some of them do in the first place!
I sometimes pick up a great dvd mag called DVD World - has loads of porno stuff in it (but then, shouldn`t everything? ;-)) - but the rest is all about films that aren`t mainstream, hollywood blockbusters like most of the others seem be full of. This month there was a big feature on the BBFC chopping and changing views so often that it makes itself virtually redundant before it starts chopping films due to the amount of times it has "changed it`s mind" after a few years and deems, what it used to call damaging to the population, and calls it "safe".
The article then moved on to the Italian Zombie/Cannibal sensation and mentions the above films, and more, but keeps mentioning that the European versions are available fully uncut......
Where can I get them???!!! Any pointers appreciated....

Check rewind for details of uncut versions, then use dvdpricecheck to track them down.

RE: I have a weird taste in films (so my mates say) but......
As strange as it sounds, not everyone likes your normal "run of the mill" films so much that their collection has to be chock-a-block with them.....mine has plenty but I also love the fact that you can buy films that shock/make you cringe etc......
I guess some would say that it`s a bit sick and twisted but there are obviously enough people out there who like `em.
One of the things I like is to see the reactions on the faces of most of my mates when I just show them the covers!!
Plus I do actually enjoy watching them myself - can`t really explain why.....maybe I`m simply a sick puppy - there MUST be others on here who agree with me though......no?

RE: I have a weird taste in films (so my mates say) but......
Porl, you are the man! Virtually EVERY film I have heard of and want (in my sick and twisted way that is ;-)) and I will be placing my first few orders in the next few hours...
I understand the reason for not posting the url on here - I`m sure some people would take offence (fairs fair) - and it would end up getting you in hot water with Chopper et al!
The best thing is that, the only other sites I had seen most of these films available on had them on VHS......I have made a point of removing the video out of the lounge and out of sight (we only have one in the bedroom now - just so we can record if we are out) and so, even if the discs are taken from VHS copies I`ll be happier.
Again, you da man!

Well said Mr But!
i like a good weird film that makes no sense but has the occasional good guy getting chopped up and eaten by Amazonian cannabals from time to time.
Not THAT often mind.
Bear in mind that people who slate Cannabel Ferox as exploititive filth are probably those that rave over Wes Craven`s debut `Last House on the Left` which, in truth, is the same type of film.
