Blind Purchases - any stinkers?

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Tuesday, 1st February 2005, 00:01

Ever purchased a film purely on the trailer/Cover sleeve then to find it`s a piece of stinky donkey crap?

Regrets, I`ve had a few...

15 Minutes
Changing Lanes
Cradle `2` the Grave

not a great list, I know. I`ve sold the others at boot fairs...

Below - boring as hell
The Four Feathers (2002) - dull with dodgy accents

Versus
Battlefield Baseball
The Last Starfighter
Ghost Ship
Cabin Fever
Barbarella
Twins Effect (Bronze Edition)
Charlies Angels and Charlies Angels 2

Going to put them up for trade anytime soon, along with an unplayed Apocalypse Now R1 (original) which I have twice.

And if you survive till 2005, I hope you`re exceedingly thin, For if you are stout you will have to breathe out, While the people around you breathe in.

I watched that the other night. I didn`t think it was too bad. I did get a shock when i saw who co-wrote it.... :/

If you want a bad submarine film, try K19: The Widowmaker. Pee-euh! That was a blind, deaf and dumb purchase. Luckily, i swapped it with the demented Russian next door, for a packet of jelly babies and some skittles.

Not to mention other purchases i blame on a sudden bout of HMV induced over excitement;

The Mothman Prophecies
The Mummy Returns
Behind Enemy Lines
Bandits

If you`re planning on going to a festival this year, take note;

* Pack waterproof clothing, and a change of footwear.

* Don`t take more money than you absolutely need.

* Stay OUT of Mr T`s TENT, and don`t EVEN think about EMPTYING the remains of YOUR packed lunch IN there.

Just cause you couldn`t understand it doesn`t make it bad ;), DD is a brilliant movie, never watch filsm like Lost Heighway or Memento if you couldn`t understand DD ;)

Versus is also a brilliant film, and Mothman Prophocies was *ok*, tho I`d never own it on DVD.

All the dvd`s I buy I normally watch beforehand, so most of them are ones I like and ones I buy without buying have turned out fine, no stinkers really

My top 20 subtitled films!

We Were Soldiers - has a couple of smart sequences with the helicopters, but overall was a bit pish.
