Where have all the Wharfedale 750(s) gone

Mark Knell (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 12th January 2001, 14:45

Hi all

It doesn`t look like Tesco have any more Wharfedale 750s`s left. No-one at Tesco can confirm that any more are coming in because they have no control over stock sent to them.

Does anyone out there with CONFIRMED information know if Tesco have the dropped Wharfedale DVD players or not ???

Mark.

Try page 14 of the SUN newspaper today. It`s also in the daily mirror advertising them. They are still well alive and kicking

My parent`s 750s was playing up and so we contacts tesco online (we bought it off their website) and they told us that they`re not getting any more in and they have none to replace ours with so they gave us a refund instead.

Cheers,

Well if you`re in the Leicestershire area, you`ll find that Tesco on Park Road, Loughborough have at least 20 on the shelves, and they`ve even knocked 10 quid off the price.

This information was correct as of 5pm today, Friday 12th January 2001

They also had quite a lot of the new Minato players, with 20 quid off them.

I have to buy food and drink. Man cannot survive on DVD alone.

Hi,

I bought a 750s from Tesco`s in Gloucester. They only had 3/4 left. I was considering a Scan but am Glad I did`nt now.

The only issue I have is that playback on Region 1 discs is a little Jerky. Gonna try and see how it goes before complaining as I could be DVD less.

Hi Dave,

The reason your R1 DVD`s are a little jerky is that you have to manually switch the output of your player to either NTSC, PAL60 or PAL60R.

Hope this helps

FantaC is right! I had this problem. If your TV can handle pure NTSC signals via SCART then set your 750s TV system to AUTO.

No worries!!!!
