XBOX - FIFA2003 - Noisy Drive

Just bought Fifa2003 and think it`s great but the drive is very noisy whilst I`m playing it making the same noise as when you first insert a disc. I just wanted to check that this is right.

(Takes me back to when I had an amiga - that had a really noisy floppy drive!)

RE: XBOX - Time & Date Settings

Cheers - just wanted to check I didn`t have a duff `un

XBOX - Time & Date Settings

How often does anyone else have to update the time/date on their xbox? Mine seems to have reset if I haven`t used my xbox for a few days....

RE: Sad but true

The way Notts Co. are going we`ll be lucky to have 11 players on the pitch at any time. Still at least I might be able to fulfill my childhood dream of playing at Meadow Lane if I turn up on Saturday with my boots!

RE: Consoles and TVs?

Thanks Mike. I`ll save myself a few quid aswell. (Probably spend it on games though!)

Consoles and TVs?

Finally talked the missus into letting me buy a new console for our lad (& me!) but need to get a TV for it aswell. I want to get something bigger than a portable but should I go Widescreen or 4:3? The TV will mostly be used for games with the odd movie watching session and very occasionally TV....

Basically, will the game visuals appear stretched on a W/S TV or look as good on a 4:3 TV?

All advice appreciated......

(Wasn`t sure whether to post this in Hardware or Consoles?!?!?)

RE: Which 24" TV?

I`ve got the Panasonic and had no problems so far

RE: Star Wars: AOTC Poster

Where I used to work there was a bus-stop just outside. When the guy came to change the posters I just asked him for any that I wanted. You don`t realise how big they are!

RE: players

My Panasonic RV60 does it aswell

RE: Original 1968 Planet of the Apes £7.65 delivered

Anyone know where the box set is cheap (under £40)?

RE: Advice installing a second Hard Drive?

Cheers all. My machine currently has a 20gb drive but I`ll open it up, look at the motherboard and check it will recognise 40gb

Advice installing a second Hard Drive?

I need to install a second hard drive and wondered in anyone knew of any pitfalls before I spend my hard earned pennies. (E.g. some of the customer reviews on Jungle for a 40gb drive say their pc only recognised it as a 30gb!)

Thanks in anticipation....

RGB Direct - speedy service and cheap prices.

Without sounding too much like an advert....

I just bought a camcorder from here - cheapest place I could find, and delivery in two days!!

RE: Techtronics Opinions

Myself and a couple of mates bought our players from here. Only problem my mate had was that they charged his credit card incorrectly (but credited it again almost straight away - £2480 insted of £248!!!)

Other than that all`s well so far - touch wood.

RE: Where you all from then?

I`m a Midlander - Nottingham.

Won`t be seeing you at the Walkers Bowl though, maybe the season after as I`m a Notts County fan!!

RE: Battle Royale Any good?

If you have a local Hollywoods they probably will have it. Our local one has a selection of foreign films...

RE: Kevin Smith Trilogy

The reason there`s no official boxset is because they are all released by different distributors. All top films though....

If you are a marketing mans dream then you can buy an `official` box to hold your films in from View Askew....

RE: Any tips for someone ripped off on an online auction?

online_appliances and for a camcorder

RE: Any tips for someone ripped off on an online auction?

Contacted Yahoo, just an automated response so far. Ratings take the same view as me. There are a couple of positive ones but they appeared to be updated after the negative ones appeared so I think they were posted by the seller himself.

I don`t have the seller`s address only his bank details.

I can`t contact any of the other buyers as Yahoo doesn`t pass the info on.

Everything seems to favour the scumbags who want to rip people off.

Any tips for someone ripped off on an online auction?

Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to proceed after paying for items in a Yahoo auction but never receiving the item and no response from the Seller?

RE: R1 Delivery from Play

R1delivery does take longer than the normal R2 stuff. The order will probably only switch to posted just as you receive it.

RE: Question about Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back (R1) features

Yep, you`re right there wonderfibre. It`s a brilliant dvd even if you can`t access the rom features anyway!

RE: DV Camcorder - any recommendations?

bigfan - do you have any recommendations other than the Panasonic?

RE: DV Camcorder - any recommendations?

Cheers duder - looks like I can save a bit if I go for the panasonic from empire direct.

DV Camcorder - any recommendations?

Being a film fan as most people who visit here are I`ve decided it`s time to upgrade my camcorder. I`ve been looking at the Panasonic NV-DS38 which seems pretty good.

Any info would be much appreciated - I can probably spend up to £800
